My name is Janet and I am the face behind the scenes of Lily Bruce. I started sewing for my young son during lockdown in 2020 and I have been sewing for my family and friends ever since. On my 39th birthday I decided to take the plunge and Lily Bruce was launched!
At Lily Bruce, we create handmade, one-of-a-kind garments with a focus on comfort, quality, and effortless style. Every piece is carefully crafted in Surrey using premium materials sourced from small businesses in the UK. Our launch range is predominantly childrenswear, but we aim to be able to cater to the needs of the whole family.
Our garments are made from high-quality cotton-based fabrics, sourced from small businesses in the UK. Each item is individually cut, machine-sewn and hand-finished by myself, before being packaged for delivery. This handmade approach gives the flexibility to adjust patterns to ensure the best fit. The launch range for Winter 2025 will include 4 core products: Lightweight Sweatshirts, Loungewear Sets, Leggings and Dresses. The range is aimed to meet the needs of stylish and active children, however given the festive nature of the range, the lightweight sweatshirts will be available for the whole family. If you would like a matching set for the whole family we can provide additional fabric options to meet your needs. Whilst the trend is to have a new set of matching festive-wear each year, the quality of our products will last well beyond the 2025 festive season!
The plan for 2026 will be based on the success of our first range, but tentative plans include Spring/Easter, Summer, Halloween and Christmas designs. I have already found some fantastic fabrics I know you'll love! I am always happy to hear opinions on product ideas or fabric themes so please let me know of any options you would like to see in the future.
